» BIRTH

Sitting with parents in the space between worlds is one of my life’s greatest honors. I enter birth spaces knowing only one thing; that you absolutely can and already know how to birth your baby. My birth package highlights access, knowledge, spiritual care and preparation.

WHILE WE WAIT:

You will have access to me and my resources via phone and email from the time of hire. Ask me anything, tell me anything. No question is too big or too small.

We will have one to three prenatal’s together, preferably before you’re 38 weeks. No worries if you’re taking the doula step a little later in your pregnancy.. getting you support is the priority so we will fit in what we can before that baby comes.

Our first prenatal is set up to be a good hardy chat! This prenatal can be done virtually if you prefer. Energetics, comfort and safety are very important so I like to allow time for us to connect more fully before we come together again in your birth space. In this prenatal we will also begin to uncover and solidify your goals and preferences for your birth. Talking about WHY you want the birth you want is an empowered birthing puzzle piece very dear to my heart. For all of us to understand why you want the birth you want is huge. When we drop into the truth of your desires, we will see how I can best support you.

Between prenatals, I encourage you to stay in touch about how things are going. Prenatals are the designated times for us to sit together but I am still a resource and support for the whole ride!

At your second prenatal, we’re gonna get physical! (insert Olivia Newton John’s fuchsia spandex) We’ll be moving through possible laboring positions, prenatal stretches, hip squeezes and rebozo work etc We can discuss and demo physical support options that can help ease and manage labor. If you’re on this path with a partner, this will be their labor support crash course. I’ll have my birth bag so you can see what I bring along. If you are birthing out of your home, we can spend some time talking about what you should bring in your birth bag. If you’re preparing for your first babe, we will also discuss and do some preparation for the early postpartum time, talk about feeding and basic infant care.

WHEN LABOR STARTS:

I go on call for your birth when you are 38 weeks. During on call time your phone number(s) will be on emergency bypass so I never miss you and I am being mindful of the potential of dropping everything to meet you when you’re ready for my support.

Labor begins and plays out in many many ways. Because of that fact, as your body moves through different changes it’s likely we may be in communication for several days. When you’re in need of my in person support, you call me and I will be there within the hour.

AFTER BIRTH:

I will stay post birth for up to two hours to offer any needed support in your first few hours. You will have an in home postpartum visit week two post birth. This visit is 1-3 hours and is for whatever you need .. and it’s okay to not know what that is until baby is here and you’re in the postpartum space. Anything from talking about the birth or sitting for a Q&A, to cooking a hot meal while I wear your baby and you have a shower or a rest.

Investment: $1900.00
